Les Mills Quarterly Workshop
My first "Q". Wow. What a day. I think I am still recovering. I now have either seen or participated in every Les Mills program.
The first class was at 7:45...BodyAttack. What a way to start the day. I LOVE that class. The music is awesome, it pushes you to the limits, yet can be modified for anyone. Just keep moving!
Next was BodyVive...the new release is fun. Starting witht he Rise and Shine track is the theme from "The Love Boat". yeah, it's a bit cheesy, but hey we'll be the cruise directors for the next hour. The rest of the music is great and once again the strength tracks are truly challenging.
I watched BodyCombat...not really for me. But, people were certainly sweating out there.
BodyFlow...wonderful class. Great music, The tai chi is good, sun salutations challenging. Good release.
So, next was BodyJam. It was quite comical. Seriously, I knew I wasn't going to be good. But, that class was so humbling. My body just does not move like that. Maybe if I took it more often, but not the first time. I can see the appeal. It is fun...but I don't think it's for me. No matter how much Rage Against the Machine they put in the release.
Finally broke for lunch. Yippee! Caffeine and a sandwich. Starving!
Education sessions.
BodyStep..love this new release. It was so awesome taking a BS class with other instructors. Everyone's timing was right on...good form, hootin' and hollerin' and just having fun!
Last but not least was BodyPump. The new release is definitely challenging. Push up in the chest track as well as the shoulder track. And we have more Arnold presses as well. I was so tired by the end of the day, I couldn't even make it through the entire class. I bailed on lunges and abs. My shoulders had had enough, so that side plank move? Didn't do it. But, I'll be ready for it next month when we release it at the gym.
Great day. I sweated my ass off and got to work out with some amazing people. Cheers to my girls that stuck it out to bitter end :)
