Three consecutive days of grueling exercise. Seriously, it wasn't that bad. In fact, I actually had a lot of fun. It's funny, when you're in the middle of it all, you're tired, stressed and just plain sore. And you swear you aren't going to do something like that again for a very long time. But then, a couple days later, you look back and think...that was actually fun.
I team teach tomorrow for the first time. I'll do it again through the month of May and then I am on my own. I really like the Body Pump program. It was the first class I started going to and it truly has the ability to change your body. I hope I can deliver it in the way that represents it well.
I have lost 30+ pounds. I work out constantly. It has become something that my body and mind actually crave. If I don't get it I feel like a lump.
Still...I go shopping to buy myself something to wear and I have a hard time picking up a size medium, or sometimes even a small...because I just struggle to think of myself a something other than a large.
Then I look at a picture. This picture. And I think, "I look like that? Wow...I'm skinny." Not to mention my arms are starting to show some definition. (I'm the one cutting the cake)
This is to prove...you really can change your body, and your repulsion to exercise.
Yesterday we were all ready for the gym. Me, Nolan and Charlie. As we getting ready to load up into the van I discovered my keys were missing. They were not in the usual place I put them, nor the other places they happen to land when I bring in groceries like I did the evening before.
I searched high and low for those damn keys. I moved furniture, I emptied drawers, I tore apart the bedroom...you get the picture. The more I moved stuff the more angry I go. Under the chair? Dust bunnies, toys and crumbs of all things. Eck! Finally, I convinced myself my 2 year old had probably put them in the trash...and it was trash day, it had already been picked up. By this time I know I need to get to the gym and work out some of this frustration.
So, I went to the van, got my Ergo baby carrier and strapped Charlie to my back. Nolan said he would hold my hand when we crossed the very busy highway. So we were off. 20 minutes later we could see the words "Gold's Gym".
Nolan asked me if we had to walk home too. I told him I wasn't sure.
He said, "But, mom if we walk home, I am going to be tired."
I said, "So, will I sweet boy. So will I".
After all was said and done I had a good Body Pump class and was able to run on the treadmill before a friend gave us all a ride home. It was much hotter at 11:30 than it was at 9:00 AM when we left.
